Former HCA Divisional President and Past Executive Chairman of the LucidHealth Board will lead the organization into its next phase of growth
Columbus, OH — LucidHealth, a national leader in radiology services, announces the appointment of Steve Corbeil as its new Chief Executive Officer. Effective November 13, 2023, Steve assumed this pivotal role, bringing with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the healthcare industry.
Steve Corbeil succeeds Asif Ahmad, who held the role of CEO from 2020-2023.
As an integral part of LucidHealth since 2018, Steve was initially appointed as an Independent Director of the Board. From 2019 to 2020, he served as the Executive Chairman, providing invaluable advisory and strategic direction to private equity owners, physician partners, and executive management.
Prior to joining LucidHealth, Steve held various leadership positions in renowned healthcare organizations. From 2011 to 2016, he served as the President of HCA’s TriStar Division, overseeing a $2.7 billion system and managing care for over half a million patients annually across 120 outpatient sites spanning Tennessee, Kentucky, and north Georgia. During his tenure, Steve led a dedicated team of over 12,000 employees and more than 200 employed physicians.
Steve’s extensive experience also includes serving as the President of HCA’s Midwest Division, where he managed Kansas City’s largest healthcare system and the largest private physician group in the area. Additionally, he held the position of Senior Vice President of operations of Tenet Healthcare’s Central Northeast Region and Outpatient Division.

Steve Corbeil earned his undergraduate degree in Economics/Political Science from the University of Michigan. He went on to earn a Master’s in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Iowa, where he was later recognized with the 2011 Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Public Health. Steve is also a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives (FACHE).
Beyond his professional achievements, Steve has been actively involved in numerous community activities, including serving on various boards and committees such as the Tennessee Hospital Association, The Missouri Hospital Association, United Way, American Heart Association, Boy Scouts, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He currently serves on the Board of CDL Nuclear Technologies. In 2016, the Governor of Tennessee appointed Steve to the Board of Tennessee State University where he remains a Board of Trustees member.
