The focus for the Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates (RRIA) management team is to provide the necessary support, at all levels of the organization, to maintain an environment that keeps the patient at the center of the healthcare equation. They do this by working in collaboration with RRIA’s subspecialty physicians and support staff to provide quality focused, operationally efficient healthcare that delivers real value back to the group’s hospital and physician partners. This passion for excellence has enabled the practice to be recognized numerous times as a Columbus Business First “Best Places to Work”, and even nationally with Modern Healthcare magazine’s top 25 Best Places to Work in healthcare.
Our Management Team
Marcia Flaherty is the Chief Executive Officer for Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates and Premier Imaging Ventures (PIV), overseeing all aspects of the group’s business and clinical operations and strategic initiatives. In addition to her leadership responsibilities with RRIA, Marcia is a member of the Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA), where she has served as a member of the Advocacy Committee. She previously served on the American College of Radiology (ACR) Committee on Practice Development. Locally Marcia represents RRIA as a member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red for Women, a group of central Ohio business leaders committed to reducing the mortality rate related to stroke and heart disease among women. Prior to joining RRIA, she had a 25-year career in health system management as senior vice president and vice president of hospital systems in New York and Ohio, leading the areas of business development and physician development. She has developed a number of physician practice corporations, ambulatory enterprises, and joint ventures throughout her career.
Tim Borcherding leads business development and physician engagement for Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates and Premier Medical Consultants’ (PMC). He is expertly trained in healthcare market development, sales management, and physician relations through his previous experience with several of the nation’s leading medical companies including Mallinckrodt Medical, Johnson & Johnson, and Fox Hollow Technologies. In addition to his responsibilities in establishing new strategic partnerships, Tim stays actively engaged with existing RRIA health system and hospital partners, as well as referring physicians and their office staff leaders to ensure strong and collaborative relationships at all times. He also supports PIV divisions including Lucid Radiology Solutions and Premier Radiology Marketing with sales and new business development.
Ron Hosenfeld serves as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates (RRIA) and Premier Imaging Ventures (PIV). In addition to his role as CIO of these business units, he also serves as director of Lucid Radiology Solutions, a subsidiary company dedicated to creating products that can be utilized by radiology groups and healthcare facilities to navigate disparate IT systems and deliver medical images to the right radiologist at the right time. Ron is widely recognized as a breakthrough IT innovator that is capable of influencing the workflow management and overall productivity of sophisticated, subspecialty trained radiologists in support of the hospitals, referring physicians and patients they serve. In addition to creating RadAssist®, a patent pending radiology industry specific workflow software tool, Ron has developed peer review, RVU measurement, and exam ordering tools that can positively influence both clinical quality and operational efficiency in real time. Through his association with RRIA, Lucid Radiology Solutions and RadAssist are put to the test utilizing the group's 90+ subspecialized physicians, then offered to other progressive independent group practices on a national scale.
Bill Economus is the General Counsel for Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates, Inc., handling a wide array of legal matters. Through his role with PMC, Bill provides legal support to Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates, Inc., Premier Imaging Ventures, LLC, and Lucid Radiology Solutions handling a wide array of legal matters. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Ohio and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and American Health Lawyers Association. Bill's previous experience includes Nationwide Children's Hospital, where he served as Vice President of Planned Giving as well as work as a private practice attorney.
Marsha Level, RT(R) oversees operations of RRIA's interventional and vascular radiology centers on the Riverside Hospital Campus and in Lewis Center, OH. Bringing over 30 years of experience to the group, Marsha has spent 24 of those years working in a nationally recognized interventional radiology (IR) department, and maintains a special focus on customer service initiatives and patient safety. Through her role at RRIA, Marsha has helped to build and implement new EMR for the IR department. She has also served as chair, and committee member of the Vascular Interventional Symposium; participated in Team Stepps Master Trainer, a government based patient safety program; implemented eICU for patient safety in the IR department; and developed the Value Analysis Team to work on cost savings for department products, and implementation of new procedures and equipment. Marsha also served a Comprehensive Stroke team member for Riverside Methodist Hospital’s recognition as the first comprehensive stroke center accredited in the state of Ohio.
Kelli Lieb is the Director of Finance and Corporate Services for Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates and Premier Imaging Ventures (PIV). Her financial responsibilities include accounts payable, payroll and benefits, quarterly and year end reporting, as well as overall budget and purchasing oversight. Her HR responsibilities include maintaining corporate records and providing practice administrative support, physician scheduling and recruitment, coordinating outside imaging site processes, and practice development. Kelli brings more than 20 years of financial leadership to RRIA and PIV, including previous experience with ViaQuest, Per-Se Technologies (now known as McKesson), both nationally recognized as a leaders in accounting and financial management for the healthcare industry.
Sue Pohlman oversees the organization’s credentialing, performance improvement, and compliance with regulatory agencies. She is directly involved as the advisor on all credentialing and peer review activities. As a member of the executive team, she participates in the development of RRIA administrative practice guidelines, clinical practice guidelines, and protocols.
Prior to joining RRIA in September of 2006, Pohlman served as manager of medical staff services with Doctors Hospital from 2003-2006 and 1994-1998, and OSU-Harding Hospital from 1998-2000. She is a member of the Ohio Medical Staff Services Organization and the National Association of Medical Staff Services. She earned her bachelors of business sciences from The Ohio State University and her Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist certification through NAMSS.
Mike Suddendorf leads the marketing and communications division for Riverside Radiology & Interventional Associates through his position as Executive Director of Premier Radiology Marketing (PRM). With extensive healthcare strategy, marketing, and communications experience on both the hospital and group practice side of the equation, Mike brings a dynamic and valuable perspective to RRIA. His work is frequently recognized as a best practice by leaders within the radiology industry, and has received numerous Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) Quest Awards for radiology marketing excellence. In addition to supporting RRIA, Mike also serves as the marketing lead for AHRA: The Medical Imaging Management Association, and Remington-Davis Clinical Research. He is an active member of both the RBMA and the AHRA, and is a frequent speaker on the subject of radiology marketing at conferences hosted by both organizations.
